Its starting to get very chilly here in Indiana and things are slowing way down in our bee yards. We still have plenty of honey available though!! We continue to get swarm calls even though it is too late in the year for us to make an attempt to try to save these bees. Your best bet is to leave them till spring and we will try to make a swarm trap available.

The Farmer’s Market Interview

Hey all I wanted to say welcome to our blog. Hopefully it will allow many of us to engage in honeybee and gardening related questions and answers. I will try to update and check back often but our bee yards have been very busy this summer!! We have a lot of awesome things happening this year!! Jeremiah

Highs are forecast to be in the low 60’s this week and will provide some beautiful weather for the bees to get out and clean up their hives. Which is also a reminder to me that I have equipment to build and preparation to take care of before spring arrives.

I pulled in a couple hives which did not make it through the winter. We have packages coming in April so we have some brood and honey comb to jump start the packages so that will help us out some.

The fees for some of the other online marketplaces have gotten downright ridiculous. We ask to visit our booth at Bonanzle
